Savol Pools is a full service swimming pool company. Located in East Hartford, Connecticut, we service commercial, municipal, institutional and residential swimming pools and spas. Our niche is centered on not building pools, but servicing them 12 months a year. Our staff are all Certified Pool Operators® (we also teach CPO® classes) and hold licenses and certifications. We also distribute a wide variety of pool chemicals, equipment and accessories.

Technician

Pool Service Technician

We are currently looking for an Experienced Pool Service Technician:

Job includes (but is not limited to)

• Openings & closings
• Leak detection & repair
• Troubleshooting / replacement of pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters
• Water testing & balancing
• Liner installation
• Safety Cover installation

• Must have knowledge of Swimming Pools including pumps, filters, heaters, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime including some Saturdays in season
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record is a must!
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Office

Assistant Office Manager

The Assistant Office Manager will be working closely with the Office Manager and Service Manager to provide excellent customer service our swimming pool customers. They will also be providing support to our Distribution Manager and President.

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter who is able to multitask and handle multiple priorities at once. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, experience with MS Word, Excel and QuickBooks.

Some of the duties are:

  • Answer phones, assist walk in customers, respond to text messages, emails & Facebook messages.
  • Send out agreements for pool openings & closings and processing them.
  • Responsible for the coordination, paperwork and scheduling of pool cleanings.
  • Speak with customers regarding pool service requests, ask exploratory questions, write up paperwork.
  • Enter vendor bills in to QuickBooks.
  • Take chemical orders, write up the Bill of Lading and bill orders after delivery.
  • Bill service work orders.
  • File – both physical paperwork & scanning and filing in the computer.
  • Test pool water and provide suggestions for corrections.
  • Assist with Social Media marketing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Customer Service.
  • Good phone skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced office / multiple priorities at once.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • MS Word & Excel.
  • QuickBooks.
  • Build relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Work well independently and as a team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • At least 5 years of customer service, office management or related experience.
  • Experience or knowledge of swimming is preferred.
  • Experience working in a contractor environment is preferred.

Training Provided:

  • Industry classes.
  • Water testing & pool balancing.
  • Attend the industry trade show in Atlantic City.
  • Certified Pool Operator© Certification Class.
